Stanley Park
The 405-hectare Stanley Park, ideally positioned on the west side of the downtown area, is one of Vancouver's greatest gems. The park, located on a peninsula, is flanked by the ocean and is home to massive red cedar and Douglas fir trees. The park's seawall offers a long walking, running, and bicycling trail with dedicated lanes for walkers and bikers. There are some beautiful views of the city and mountains from the seawall. A picturesque drive-through Stanley Park with multiple pullouts is also available.
The Vancouver Aquarium, Beaver Lake, and Stanley Park Pavilion, and Rose Garden are all located within the park. There are also numerous totem poles, some of which were built more than a century ago. The cherry trees bloom in a spectacular display in the spring.
