Online Canada Visa from Spain

There is now a simpler way to obtain eTA Canada Visa from Spain, according to a new effort launched by the Canadian government. The eTA visa waiver for Spanish citizens, which was implemented in 2016, is a multiple-entry electronic travel authorization that enables stays of up to 6 months with each visit to Canada.

To visit Canada by air for up to 6 months, Spanish citizens must first receive official travel permission. The advent of the online eTA (electronic travel authorization) for Canada in 2016 substantially simplified this process by allowing applicants to apply entirely online.

An accepted Canada eTA from Spain is effective for 5 years from the date of issue, eliminating the need to submit an online request before each journey to Canada. It is a multiple-entry online visa waiver that allows for repeated visits to Canada throughout the validity period.

Visiting Canada has never been easier since the Government of Canada has introduced the simplified and streamlined process of obtaining electronic travel authorisation or Canada Visa Online. Canada Visa Online is an electronic travel authorization or travel permit to visit Canada for a period of time less than 6 months. International visitors must have a Canadian eTA to be able to enter Canada and explore this amazing country. Foreign citizens can apply for an Canada Visa Application in a matter of minutes. Canada Visa Application process is automated, simple, and completely online.

Do Spanish Citizens Require a Visa to Enter Canada?

  • Whether traveling for work or leisure, all Spanish residents must have an authorized visa waiver to enter Canada for periods of up to 6 months if traveling by plane.
  • With the advent of the Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA), which can be applied online from the convenience of the applicant's own home, this process has been substantially simplified.
  • The tourist receives an authorized eTA for Canada electronically connected to their passport after completing an online form and making an electronic payment.
  • Although an eTA can take up to two (2) days to process, Spanish citizens who require an eTA for immediate travel to Canada can choose an accelerated processing option when submitting their application.
  • When paying the eTA cost, the applicant assures that their eTA will be handled in less than 60 minutes by selecting 'Urgent Guaranteed Processing in less than 1 hour'.

What Are the Requirements For The Spanish eTA Visa To Canada?

Applicants from Spain must consider the following when applying for the Canada eTA visa waiver:

  • The trip to Canada must be for tourist, transit, trade, or medical reasons. The eTA is not valid for any other purpose, such as working, studying, or retiring.
  • Spanish biometric passport: Only biometric passports can be used to apply for a Canadian eTA. The authorized authorization is connected to the traveler's passport and is intended to be read by electronic border-crossing machines.
  • The passport must be valid for at least six (6) months after the date of entrance into Canada.
  • Only air travel is available. The eTA visa waiver is only valid for air travel to Canada. As a result, if the desired port of entry is through one of the country's land borders or one of its seaports, the eTA will be invalid, and a Canadian visitor visa will be required.
  • There is a minimum age requirement. To apply, all candidates must be at least 18 years old. Parents with minor children may appeal on their behalf (check eTA requirements for minors)
  • A total stay of 180 days is permitted: A Spanish national may stay in the country for a maximum of 180 days in a single visit. For visits of more than 180 days, a new type of visa for Canada must be obtained.
  • If the applicant's passport expires during the validity period of the Canadian eTA Canada, a new application must be submitted online in order to travel to Canada from Spain.
  • Furthermore, Spanish candidates with dual nationality who require an eTA must use the same passport to come to Canada that they used to submit the electronic form.
  • This happens because an approved eTA from Spain is electronically connected to a single-person passport in both circumstances.

What Are The Places That A Spanish Citizen Can Visit In Canada?

Visitors to Canada are as impressed by the animals and nature as they are by the cultural and culinary amenities of the country's cities. Explore the vast arctic tundra of Churchill for polar bears or canoe along Vancouver's curving coastline while admiring the downtown skyline. In Toronto, dine on five-star fusion cuisine, or attend a street-side jazz jam session in Montreal.

These are the best spots to visit in Canada, whether you're a first-time tourist or returning to try something new. But prepare ahead of time because, being the world's second-largest country, you won't be able to see everything in a single trip.

The Canadian Rockies

Best for views of the mountains.

The sawtooth, white-topped mountains that span British Columbia and Alberta inspire both awe and movement. Five national parks – Banff, Yoho, Kootenay, Waterton Lakes, and Jasper – provide many possibilities to immerse yourself in the lush environment, with ribbons of hiking routes, flowing white water, and powdery ski slopes to delight mountain adventure seekers.

This is one of the best spots to visit in Canada during the winter, but there is plenty of outdoor fun here throughout the summer as well.

Take the train for a new perspective: bright lakes, jumbles of wildflowers, and gleaming glaciers glide by as the steel trains chug up mountain peaks and down river valleys on route to points east or west.

Vancouver

The best option for mixing city and environment.

The laid-back, cocktail-loving metropolis of Vancouver is surrounded by sea-to-sky magnificence. With skiable mountains on the outskirts, beaches on the coast, and Stanley Park's dense rainforest just steps from downtown's gleaming skyscrapers, you'll find a harmonious fusion of city and environment.

Pick up supplies and a nice beverage and picnic in one of the wonderful city parks for the best of both worlds (during the summer months drinking alcohol is legal at most city parks).

Shop and wander around the various and attractive districts - you might even run into a star. Vancouver, also known as "Hollywood North," is the venue for many TV and film projects produced throughout the year.

Summer in Vancouver is one of the nicest places in Canada to visit, thanks to its pleasant climate and stunning beaches.

Manitoulin Island

Ideal for honoring Canada's First Nations customs.

Manitoulin Island is the world's largest freshwater island, floating right in the middle of Lake Huron. It's a slowpoke place of beaches and sunny cottages. White quartzite and granite outcroppings surround the shoreline, leading to sparkling panoramas. The island's eight communities work together to provide local foods (such as wild rice and maize soup) and eco-adventures (canoeing, horseback riding, hiking). Powwows combine drumming, dancing, and storytelling for culturally immersive events that connect you with the people and land of the country we now call Canada.

Vancouver Island

Nature enthusiasts will appreciate this.

Picture-postcard Victoria is the pulsing center of Vancouver Island, with bohemian stores, wood-floored coffee shops, and an English past steeped in tea culture dating back to the 1840s. British Columbia's main city is charming, but it is merely the starting point for an island rich with natural beauties.

The West Coast Trail, where the wind-bashed ocean meets a mist-shrouded wilderness and surfers line up for Tofino's waves, is part of the brooding Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. This is one of the best spots in Canada for nature enthusiasts, with so many outdoor experiences to attempt.

Detour: Wandering foodies might visit the Cowichan Valley, which is dotted with inviting small farms and boutique wineries.

Whistler

Best ski resorts in Canada

This alpine community and Olympic venue for the 2010 Winter Games is one of the world's largest, best-equipped, and most popular ski resorts, yet it's only a 90-minute drive from downtown Vancouver. This area is a skier's heaven, with over 200 defined slopes descending down two towering mountains, Whistler and Blackcomb.

Whistler's raison d'être may be skiing, but summer tourists on downhill mountain bikes and stand-up paddleboards outweigh their ski-season counterparts, making the resort a year-round hot spot for locals and visitors alike.

Whistler has recently developed a strong arts and cultural scene, with landmarks such as the Audain Art Museum and Squamish Li'lwat Cultural Centre serving as equally compelling attractions to the legendary slopes.

Baffin Island

Best for Inuit art and breathtaking landscapes.

Baffin Island's desolate, harsh landscape is home to cloud-scraping mountains and one-third of Nunavut's human population. It's Canada's largest island (and the world's fifth largest) and the ideal location for an arctic safari, where you may see narwhals, belugas, and bears in their native habitat.

The crown jewel of the island is Auyuittuq National Park, whose name means "the place that never melts," and the eastern stretch is filled with glaciers, fjords, and vertiginous cliffs. The park is a magnet for intrepid hikers and climbers, as well as a few polar bears.

Baffin Island is also a center for Inuit art, with studios for high-quality carving, printmaking, and weaving in several of the small villages that speckle the area.
